Bearing off inbackgammon is the act of removing a checker of the board after moving all the player's 15 checkers into the home board.
The bearing off in backgammon may begin once a player has put back his entire checkers into his home board. The bearing off is done by the roll of the dice. The player should move the checker that placed on the same numbered point as the outcome of the roll of the dice.
For example, if the dice rolls 6, then the player is entitled to bear off a checker of the 6-point. If the dice rolls 6 and there is not any checker on the 6-point, then the player has to move a checker placed on a higher numbered point. If there are not any checkers there too, then the player should remove a checker from the highest numbered point on the board.
